BAEP/ABR

brainstem-auditory-evoked-potential-baep-waveformsBrainstem auditory evoked potentials are small auditory evoked potentials (AEP’s) that are recorded in response to an auditory stimulus from electrodes placed on the scalp. Due to their small amplitude, 500 or more repetitions of the auditory stimulus are required in order to average out the random background electrical activity. High EEG sampling rates (>10kHz) are necessary to capture the complete response.
